Infolep is a joint effort of ILEP and Infolep to support information needs in global leprosy control efforts by providing access to leprosy information resources on leprosy and related subjects, both on demand and on a pro-active basis. The information services can be accessed through: the physical library; online via the portal; by direct contact with the Information Officer; and by notification/awareness service by email and social media

Scenari-Aid is a free website containing over 100 digitally recorded real-life scenarios for people to work through in their own time and style. Each functional scenario is comprised of a number of steps in which the user can pause at any time and choose to respond in a time and manner that best fits their situation, style and needs. This website is useful to users for the following reasons: fluency and speech therapy for people, stroke recovery, literacy skills for people from non-English speaking backgrounds, addressing social anxiety issues and the empowering the long term unemployed

Friends of the Disabled Association (FDA) is an advocacy voluntary organisation. It was started in 1978 by group of parents of persons with intellectual disabilities. FDA's purpose is to promote the full range of Human Rights for persons with disabilities and their parents through multiple programmes. Their main programmes are in early intervention, basic teaching, intermediate level, secondary level, prevocational & vocational training. FDA's main goal is to secure self-discrimination, independent living and being included in their communities.  FDA aims to establish a Trust Fund to secure life quality on the life span of persons with intellectual disability.

 

FDA considers that the adoption of UN CRPD and the ILO Recommendation Social Protection Floors will secure better life quality for persons with disability and their families

An independent internet platform supported by international agencies and scientific institutions active in humanitarian assistance and development, this resource collates online professional guidelines, textbooks and practical documents on health action.

 

Resources are divided under the following main headings: Key resources (subheadings include Disaster Preparedness, WASH, Project Cycle Management), Clinical Guidelines, Pharmacy and Technologies, Women and Child Health, Public Health, Countries and Toolboxes

This is the official website of Rural Rehab South Africa (RuReSA)  which represents “rural rehab on professional bodies and to the Department of Health, especially with regards to developing rural friendly policies. RuReSA aims to create a network of personal and professional support for rural therapists, including the sharing of information relevant to the disability, rehabilitation and public health fields within and outside South Africa.” The website contains news & events, projects & campaigns and related resources. It also contains areas featuring a chat group and an area to sign up for membership

“This manual has been developed for organizations who wish to educate and sensitize staff, teachers and carers about the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Although it mainly focuses on intermediaries that are staff in an institution for young people with learning disabilities, it may well also be appropriate as a programme for the parents and family of young people with learning disabilities. The manual provides a menu of exercises that can be used to sensitize intermediaries on how to create a protective environment for young people with learning disabilities to prevent sexual abuse and violence”
