This replication guidebook is a tool that aims to highlight the link between social exclusion and poverty and is based on the premise that a country cannot achieve its development targets, if a section of its people is left behind.
This guidebook aims to show practitioners practical ways of working on economic development that inclusive of socially excluded groups such as women, people with disabilities, people living in poverty, etc. It provides corresponding concepts, explains the steps and suggests tools that may help practitioners use and adapt to their context. The context of this book are based on field level experience of the project team of the Inclusive Economic Development project.
This training manual is to help prepare local government health teams to use evidence-based methods to develop long-term plans to strengthen their Reproductive Health programmes and to actively involve participants in the learning process. There is an insistence on the systematic use of local and national data, statistics, and policies to develop an appropriate response; and a recognition that because local governments in most countries develop plans in the context of competing priorities for a limited budget, plans are only as good as the local government health department’s ability to defend them

This global initiative has been designed to help developing countries build and sustain the health workforce so that they can respond systemically to the challenges of implementing and sustaining quality health programmes. The project seeks to improve the quality, accessibility and use of priority health services through: 1. Improving workforce planning and leadership; 2. Developing better education and training programmes for the workforce, and 3. Strengthening systems to support workforce performance. The Capacity Project works across sectors such as health, education, planning, public service commissions and local government entities in order to address the varied forces that affect the health workforce. The Project also works in multiple priority health areas, including family planning and reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other infectious diseases
