This paper outlines the need for greater connectivity & accessibility in less developed countries. Following this, the authors present the benefits of various different ‘mHealth’ solutions, presented through case studies. The report concludes by outlining some of the constraints holding back greater ‘mHealth’ innovation, including financing and sustainability issues

"This study provides an overview of recent scholarship in the area of gender and disability, as well as findings from an evaluation of syllabi from five core courses in graduate rehabilitation education programs. Findings from this exploratory study revealed a need for more attention toward integration of the topic of gender and disability into rehabilitation education courses. Study results showed that in only one out of three courses where there would be a reasonable expectation to see such topics was the content actually addressed. Specific recommendations for enhancing attention to gender issues within rehabilitation education courses are offered"

These are: the NARIC Knowledgebase containing 2800 organisations, agencies, publications and internet resources; REHABDATA an extensive database of disability and rehabilitation literature abstracts spanning more than 50 years of research; and the NIDRR program directory listing 400 disability and rehabilitation research projects across the US. Visitors can search each database by author, keywords, publisher or year of publication, or can browse through pre-selected material on key topics. Although of the literature referenced originates in the USA, the topic 'International Rehabilitation' is a good starting point to identify journal articles and reports relevant to the developing country context. Full text documents are not available, though NARIC does offer a document retrieval service for certain journal articles referenced in REHABDATA.
