Together with more than a thousand local organisations, Cordaid fights poverty and injustice in over forty countries throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe and the Netherlands. MSSRF is doing research in five areas, coastal systems; biodiversity and biotechnology; ecotechnology and sustainable agriculture; reaching the unreached; and education, communication, training and capacity building. The flagship project of the Informatics Group is the Information Village Research Project, which has now transferred to the National Virtual Academy for Food Security and Rural Prosperity. Apart from the headquarters at Chennai, the MSSRF has many field centres in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. The Medical Missionaries of Mary organisation was established in 1937 and currently works in 12 countries in Africa and South America. The organisation is composed of 400 women of different nationalities, who live in small multicultural religious communities. The organisation places great emphasis on community based healthcare, but also establishes hospitals and health centres. Safe motherhood and care of young infants is of a primary concern. The organisation is also involved in mental health, control of leprosy and HIV & AIDS. HIV & AIDS programmes involve counselling, testing, peer-to-peer education, advocacy, orphan support and guardian programmes.

Arc en Ciel is a not-for-profit organisation that works with and for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. The main centre produces and repairs wheel chairs, prostheses and other aids along with adapting cars for the needs of individual disabled users. Arc en Ciel runs an income generating project for people with disabilities. Ceramics, religious paintings & handcrafted rugs are sold in the adjoining shop. The organisation also manages a rehabilitation programme along side a general health centre free of charge.|Arc en Ciel is involved in advocating the rights of disabled and vulnerable people. Literature is distributed in arabic, english and french in order to educate and sensitise the public, while it also aims to influence policy.|The organisation has established several youth centres with the aim of dissiminating democratic principles to aid the peace process and develop a national sentiment. The Rain Bow clubs were established in 1996 and faciliate sports, study and internet access for young people.
